In dryland, water movement plays an important role in crop water relation, air, and nutrient availability. In the soil, water movement is highly affected by soil pore characteristics, such as total porosity, pore size di stribution, and pore stability. This research aimed to: (1) Determine the relationship between water movement and soil pore characteristics (2) Determine the relationship model between rainfall and water movement and soil moisture dynamic in dryland, (3)Assess the effect of water movement and soil moisture dynamic on soil moisture and nutrient distribution and (4) Determine soil pore characteristics that affect soil nutrient concentration. This research was conducted in the field and laboratory.en
