      Abstract
The rapid expansion of the fast-fashion industry has significantly increased global textile waste, including used clothing. This development has facilitated the growth of thrift shops in Indonesia, which predominantly deal in imported second-hand garments. The Indonesian government has imposed a prohibition on the importation of used clothing to safeguard consumer health and the domestic textile industry. Nevertheless, the trade in imported used clothing has generated a complex value chain that encompasses multiple actors, each contributing varying degrees of value addition. This study seeks to map the supply chain of imported used clothing in Bogor City, estimate the marketing margins and profits associated with these products, and examine the value added by each participant within the chain. The research is concentrated on three product categories: crewnecks, hoodies, and jackets. A qualitative descriptive approach is employed to identify supply chain actors and trace the flow of products, information, and finances. Furthermore, analyses of marketing margins and profits, along with the application of the Hayami Method, are utilized to assess value addition. The findings reveal that the supply chain comprises importers, wholesalers, large retailers, small retailers, and remanufacturers. Each actor derives distinct marketing margins and value added, contingent on their respective marketing functions, product-processing roles, and exposure to market risks. The estimated value added per item amounts to IDR18,861 for wholesalers, IDR9,539 for large retailers, IDR32,481 for small retailers, and IDR70,363 for remanufacturers.
