      Abstract
      AINUL FIRMAN GUPI. Estimasi Nilai Ekonomi Karbon Biru dan Strategi Pengelolaan Ekosistem Lamun (Studi Kasus: Kabupaten Wakatobi, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara). Dibimbing oleh EVA ANGGRAINI dan BAHROIN IDRIS TAMPUBOLON. Perubahan iklim adalah suatu fenomena alam yang dapat mengakibatkan pemanasan global dan kenaikan permukaan air laut akibat dari curah hujan yang tinggi. Pemanasan global ini juga berdampak terhadap fungsi dari ekosistem lamun. Salah satu fungsi lamun adalah sebagai penyerap karbon, tetapi fungsi ini belum dioptimalkan untuk pemanfaatannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis persepsi masyarakat terhadap peran ekosistem lamun dalam perubahan iklim, (2) mengestimasi nilai ekonomi ekosistem lamun terhadap manfaatnya sebagai penyerapan karbon, dan (3) menganalisis strategi yang dapat dilakukan dalam pengelolaan ekosistem lamun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode analisis deskriptif dengan Skala Likert, Benefit Transfer dan Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sangat memerlukan pengetahuan yang lebih mendalam terkait fungsi ekosistem lamun dari pihak yang lebih mengerti. Total nilai ekonomi dari potensi serapan karbon pada ekosistem lamun di Wakatobi yaitu sebesar Rp 1.159.704.686,343. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa ekosistem lamun di Wakatobi memiliki nilai ekonomi serapan karbon yang sangat tinggi. Pengelola dan masyarakat diharapkan dapat mengimplementasikan program yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan kondisi ekosistem lamun yang buruk menjadi lebih baik kedepannya, sehingga ekosistem lamun tersebut dapat meningkatkan serapan karbonnya.
       
      AINUL FIRMAN GUPI. Estimation of Economic Blue Carbon Value and Management Strategies for Seagrass Ecosystem (Case Study: Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province). Supervised by EVA ANGGRAINI and BAHROIN IDRIS TAMPUBOLON. Climate change is a natural phenomenon that can lead to global warming and sea level rise, partly influenced by increased rainfall intensity. Global warming also affects the functions of seagrass ecosystems. One of the functions of seagrass is to act as a carbon sink, yet this function has not yet been optimized for utilization. This study aims to (1) analyze community perceptions of the role of seagrass ecosystems in climate change, (2) estimate the economic value of seagrass ecosystems based on their function as carbon sinks, and (3) analyze strategies for sustainable seagrass ecosystem management. The methods used in this study include descriptive analysis with a Likert scale, Benefit Transfer, and Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). The results indicate that communities require a deeper understanding of seagrass ecosystem functions from more knowledgeable stakeholders. The total economic value of carbon sequestration potential in the seagrass ecosystem in Wakatobi is estimated at 1,159,704,686.343 IDR. This value demonstrates that seagrass ecosystems in Wakatobi have a very high economic value in terms of carbon sequestration. Therefore, managers and local communities are expected to implement programs that can improve the quality and condition of degraded seagrass ecosystems, thereby enhancing their carbon sequestration capacity in the future.
