      Analisis Struktur Arus Perairan Barat Sumatra Berdasarkan Data SADCP 300 kHz OCEANX dan Model CMEMS

      Abstract
      Perairan barat Sumatra berbatasan langsung dengan Samudra Hindia, berperan sebagai batas timur Samudra Hindia yang menyebabkan sirkulasi arus berubah secara musiman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur arus laut pada perairan barat Sumatra serta sirkulasi arus Samudra Hindia pada bulan Mei hingga Juli. Hasil cruise OASE OceanX 2024 memperoleh data Shipboard Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler pada daerah perairan barat Sumatra dari bulan Mei hingga Juli menggunakan R/V OceanX. Hasil pengolahan data model dan SADCP yang mengikuti prosedur pengguna software CASCADE menunjukkan pada bulan Mei, aliran arus Wyrtki jets, arus permukaan ketimuran ekuatorial yang terpusat pada garis lintang 2° LU–2° LS dengan kecepatan maksimum 0,5 m/s. Rambatan Kelvin wave pada pesisir barat Sumatra yang disebabkan oleh aliran Wyrtki jets mengalami bifurkasi, mengikuti orientasi Pulau Sumatra ke arah barat laut dan tenggara. Sebagian energi arus permukaan yang mengalir di bulan Mei dipantulkan oleh batas timur Samudra Hindia dalam bentuk Rossby wave ke arah barat pada lapisan bawah perairan yang memuncak pada bulan Juni. Rambatan arus pada ujung utara Pulau Sumatra akibat Kelvin wave membawa transpor volume sebesar -0,2262 Sv. Aliran arus pola intramusiman pada sisi selatan Perairan Barat Sumatra membawa transpor volume sebesar 1,1601 Sv ke arah Perairan Barat Sumatra.
       
      The western Sumatra waters border the Indian Ocean, serving as its eastern boundary and causing seasonal shifts in current circulation. This study describes the ocean current structure in western Sumatra waters and Indian Ocean circulation from May to July. Data from the 2024 OASE OceanX cruise yielded Shipboard Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (SADCP) measurements using the R/V OceanX. Processing of SADCP and model data via CASCADE software shows that in May, the Wyrtki jets flow as eastward equatorial surface currents centered between 2° N and 2° S latitude, reaching maximum speeds of 0.5 m/s. Kelvin waves driven by the Wyrtki jets undergo bifurcation along Sumatra's coastline toward the northwest and southeast. A portion of May's surface current energy reflects off the eastern boundary as westward Rossby waves in deeper layers, peaking in June. Kelvin wave propagation at Sumatra's northern tip carries a volume transport of -0.2262 Sv. Meanwhile, intraseasonal current patterns on the southern side carry a volume transport of 1.1601 Sv toward the western Sumatra waters.
