      Abstract
      Salah satu uji cepat dan objektif untuk menentukan vigor benih adalah uji daya hantar listrik (DHL). Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektivitas dua metode pengujian DHL pada sepuluh varietas kedelai serta menganalisis hubungannya dengan parameter mutu fisiologis benih lainnya. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dua faktor, yaitu sepuluh varietas benih kedelai dan dua metode pengujian DHL, meliputi metode A (50 butir benih, 100 ml aquabidest, suhu inkubasi 20 °C) dan metode B (25 butir benih, 75 ml aquabidest, suhu inkubasi 25 °C). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode DHL B lebih sensitif dan efektif dalam menduga daya berkecambah benih sepuluh varietas kedelai dibandingkan metode A, dengan rentang nilai konduktivitas yang lebih lebar serta berkorelasi negatif (r = -0,6517*) dan memiliki koefisien determinasi (R² = 42,47%) yang lebih kuat dengan daya berkecambah, sedangkan hubungannya dengan parameter uji vigor benih tidak menunjukkan pola yang konsisten.
       
      A rapid and objective test for determining seed vigor is the electrical conductivity (EC) test. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of two EC testing methods on ten soybean varieties and to analyze their relation with other physiological seed quality parameters. The study employed a two-factor randomized complete block design, comprising method A (50 seeds, 100 mL of distilled water, and an incubation temperature of 20 °C) and method B (25 seeds, 75 mL of distilled water, and an incubation temperature of 25 °C). The results showed that method B was more sensitive and effective in predicting seed physiological quality than method A, producing a wider range of EC values and a stronger negative correlation (r = -0.6517; R² = 42.47%) with normal germination percentage, whereas its relationship with other seed vigor test parameters did not show a consistent pattern.
