      Abstract
      Urban activities in Bandung City generate CO2 emissions from the transportation, electricity, and household LPG sectors. Conversely, the Ir. H. Djuanda Grand Forest Park (Tahura) as a green area, performs an ecological function by sequestering carbon in its biomass and soil. This study aims to estimate Bandung City's CO2 emissions, analyze the carbon stock of Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda to assess its sequestration effectiveness and formulate management strategies for the area. Emissions were estimated using an activity data and emission factor approach, while carbon stocks were calculated with quantitative descriptive analysis of secondary data using a stratum-based carbon stock accounting method. Management strategies were analyzed using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). The results indicate that Bandung City's CO2 emissions in 2023 totaled 8,557,645.84 tons of CO2/year. Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda holds a carbon stock of 51,471.50 tons of C, equivalent to 188,728.82 tons of CO2. This figure represents 2.20% the park's existing capacity to function as a carbon sink. Priority strategies include strengthening governance and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for carbon management, implementing (MRV) protocols, and etc. These measures require support through economic instruments specifically, Compensation/Payment for Environmental Services (KIJLH/PJLH) based on carbon sequestration services.
       
      Kota Bandung memiliki aktivitas perkotaan yang menghasilkan emisi CO2 dari sektor transportasi, energi listrik, dan penggunaan LPG rumah tangga. Di sisi lain, Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda sebagai kawasan hijau memiliki fungsi ekologis dalam menyimpan karbon pada biomassa dan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengestimasi emisi CO2 Kota Bandung, menganalisis stok karbon Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda untuk mengetahui efektivitas stok karbon tahura, serta merumuskan strategi pengelolaan kawasan. Estimasi emisi dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan data aktivitas dan faktor emisi, sedangkan stok karbon dihitung dengan deskriptif kuantitatif berbasis data sekunder dengan pendekatan carbon stock accounting berbasis strata. Strategi pengelolaan dianalisis menggunakan Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa emisi CO2 Kota Bandung tahun 2023 sebesar 8.557.645,84 ton CO2/tahun. Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda memiliki stok karbon sebesar 51.471,50 ton C atau setara 188.728,82 ton CO2. Nilai tersebut setara dengan 2,20% menunjukkan kapasitas stok karbon eksisting Tahura sebagai fungsi carbon sink. Strategi pengelolaan meliputi penguatan tata kelola dan SOP pengelolaan karbon, penerapan MRV, serta zonasi berbasis karbon dan risiko kawasan dan perlu didukung melalui instrumen ekonomi berupa Kompensasi/Imbal Jasa Lingkungan Hidup (KIJLH/PJLH) berbasis jasa penyimpan karbon.
