      Abstract
      MARIYATUL QIBTIYAH. Strategi Pengelolaan Ekosistem Mangrove Berbasis Masyarakat untuk Perdagangan Karbon. Dibimbing oleh TARYONO dan FERY KURNIAWAN Perubahan iklim global akibat peningkatan emisi mendorong peningkatan suhu global. Mangrove merupakan ekosistem karbon biru yang menyerap dan menyimpan emisi karbon secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kondisi vegetasi mangrove, simpanan karbon, persepsi masyarakat, kelembagaan serta menyusun strategi pengelolaan ekosistem mangrove berbasis masyarakat untuk mendukung implementasi perdagangan karbon. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Oktober 2024 hingga Januari 2025 di Desa Randusanga Wetan, Brebes. Data primer berupa vegetasi, diameter pohon, sedimen diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan pengambilan sampel di tiga stasiun menggunakan transek 100 m dengan tiga plot pengamatan pada tiap stasiun. Sampel sedimen dikumpulkan menggunakan soil corer yang dimasukkan secara vertikal hingga kedalaman100 cm pada tiga kedalaman berbeda. Data persepsi masyarakat diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 30 responden, sementara kondisi kelembagaan dikaji melalui wawancara. Prioritas strategi pengelolaan ditentukan menggunakan metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi Rhizophora mucronata sebagai spesies mangrove yang dominan. Kerapatan mangrove tertinggi tercatat di stasiun 2. Total simpanan karbon mangrove sebesar 245,7 MgC/ha. Masyarakat Desa Randusanga Wetan menunjukkan tingkat persepsi yang tinggi terhadap fungsi ekologis mangrove dan perannya sebagai penyerap karbon, namun menunjukkan tingkat persepsi yang rendah terhadap kebijakan perdagangan karbon. Kelembagaan pengelolaan mangrove ditemukan masih bersifat informal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis AHP, peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia memperoleh bobot prioritas tertinggi di antara alternatif strategi pengelolaan yang diusulkan untuk mendukung implementasi perdagangan karbon
       
      MARIYATUL QIBTIYAH. Community-Based Mangrove Ecosystem Management Strategies for Carbon Trading. Supervised by TARYONO dan FERY KURNIAWAN Global climate change driven by rising emissions has contributed to increasing global temperatures. Mangroves, as a blue carbon ecosystem, play a critical role in effectively sequestering and storing carbon. This study aimed to analyse mangrove vegetation condition, carbon stock, community perception, and institutional arrangements, and to formulate a community-based mangrove ecosystem management strategy to support the implementation of carbon trading. This research was conducted from October 2024 to January 2025 in Randusanga Wetan Village, Brebes. Primary data on vegetation, tree diameter, and sediment were collected through observation and sampling at three stations, each represented by a 100 m. Three observation plots were established along each transect. Sediment samples were collected using soil corer inserted vertically to a depth of 100 cm at three different depth intervals. Data on community perception were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents, while institutional conditions were assessed through interview. Management strategy priorities were determined using the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The results identified Rhizophora mucronata as the dominant mangrove species. The highest mangrove density was recorded at station 2. Total mangrove carbon stock was estimated at 245,7 Mg/ha. The community of Randusanga Wetan showed a high level of perception regarding the ecological functions of mangroves and their role as carbon sinks, but a low level of perception regarding carbon trading policy. Mangrove management institutions were found to remain informal. Based on the AHP analysis, improving human resource capacity obtained the highest priority weight among the proposed management strategy alternatives to support the implementation of carbon trading.
