      Abstract
      ABSTRAK PUTRI NABILA DESTIANA TAUFIK. Isolasi Bis(2-etilheksil) Ftalat yang Terindikasi sebagai Kontaminan pada Pemurnian Ekstrak Aseton Daun Araucaria cunninghamii. Dibimbing oleh PURWANTININGSIH SUGITA dan WISNU WIDIKDO. Genus Araucaria merupakan salah satu genus tumbuhan konifer dari famili Araucariaceae. Araucaria cunninghamii merupakan salah satu spesies Araucaria yang tumbuh di Indonesia. Tiga senyawa biflavonoid murni telah berhasil diisolasi dari daun spesies ini, sedangkan senyawa non-biflavonoid baru teridentifikasi pada tingkat ekstrak. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengelusidasi struktur senyawa non-biflavonoid murni hasil isolasi dari daun tersebut. Ekstrak aseton dari penelitian sebelumnya difraksionasi dengan kromatografi kolom gravitasi Sephadex LH-20 dan dipisahkan dengan kromatografi kolom gravitasi silika gel. Isolat dielusidasi strukturnya menggunakan spektrofotometer resonansi magnet inti dan spektrometer massa. Senyawa murni yang berhasil diisolasi adalah bis(2- etilheksil) ftalat, golongan ester ftalat yang diduga berasal dari kontaminan pembungkus plastik atau pelarut teknis.       ABSTRACT PUTRI NABILA DESTIANA TAUFIK. Isolation of Bis(2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate Identified as a Contaminant During Purification of Araucaria cunninghamii Leaf Acetone Extract. Supervised by PURWANTININGSIH SUGITA and WISNU WIDIKDO. Araucaria is one of the conifer genera belonging to the family Araucariaceae, with Araucaria cunninghamii is one of the species growing in Indonesia. Three pure biflavonoid compounds have successfully been isolated from the leaves of this species, while non-biflavonoid compounds have only been identified at the extract level. Therefore, this study aims to elucidate the structure of a pure non-biflavonoid compound isolated from the leaves of this species. The acetone-soluble extract obtained from a previous study was fractionated using Sephadex LH-20 gravity column chromatography and subsequently separated by silica gel gravity column chromatography. The isolate was structurally elucidated using a nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The pure compound isolated was bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, a phthalate ester that is presumed to have originated from contamination by plastic wrap or technical-grade solvents.
