      Abstract

This research was motivated by the manual attendance system used for field employees at the Bogor City Environmental Agency, which relied on attendance books without location validation. As a result, employees could record their attendance outside their designated work zones. This study aimed to Design and Development of a Location-Zone-Based Attendance Information System (SIPREZA), implement geolocation and geofencing technologies for attendance location validation, and evaluate the system's functionality using Black Box Testing. The study adopted the Waterfall methodology, consisting of Requirements definition, System and software design, implementation, and testing. The system was developed using PHP, MySQL, the Geolocation API, coordinate- and radius based geofencing, Leaflet.js, and WebcamJS. Testing of 54 test cases using the Equivalence Partitioning technique showed that all functional requirements performed as specified, meaning that SIPREZA successfully implemented attendance validation based on geolocation and geofencing technology in accordance with the predetermined work zones.
