      Analisis Kelayakan Ekonomi Budidaya Maggot BSF sebagai Upaya Pengelolaan Sampah Organik di Pulau Tidung

      Abstract
      Pulau Tidung merupakan salah satu pulau kecil di Kepulauan Seribu yang menghadapi tantangan serius dalam pengelolaan sampah organik. Keterbatasan lahan, ketergantungan pada transportasi laut, serta tingginya biaya pengangkutan sampah ke Tempat Pemrosesan Sampah Terpadu Bantargebang menjadi permasalahan yang memerlukan solusi. Salah satu pendekatan yang potensial dalam mengatasi timbulan sampah organik adalah biokonversi menggunakan maggot Black Soldier Fly. Metode ini menawarkan alternatif yang berkelanjutan dalam penguraian sampah organik, sehingga dapat mengurangi volume sampah yang dihasilkan sekaligus mendukung prinsip ekonomi sirkular. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah organik berbasis maggot BSF; (2) menganalisis efisiensi reduksi karbon dari kegiatan biokonversi; (3) menganalisis kelayakan ekonomi budidaya maggot BSF di TPS Pulau Tidung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dengan skala Likert, perhitungan reduksi emisi mengacu pada pedoman IPCC 2019, serta analisis biaya dan manfaat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) masyarakat memberikan persepsi sangat setuju terhadap manfaat ekonomi, lingkungan, dan sosial dari keberadaan rumah maggot; (2) kegiatan biokonversi mampu mengalihkan sampah organik dari TPA sekaligus menghasilkan nilai ekonomi karbon; (3) usaha biokonversi sampah organik menggunakan maggot di TPS Pulau Tidung layak untuk dijalankan karena telah memenuhi seluruh kriteria kelayakan dari NPV, Net B/C, IRR, dan Payback Period.
       
      Pulau Tidung is one of the small islands in the Kepulauan Seribu that faces serious challenges in organic waste management. Limited land availability, dependence on sea transportation, and the high cost of transporting waste to the Bantargebang Final Processing Site are problems requiring a solution. One potential approach to addressing organic waste generation is bioconversion using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots. This method offers a sustainable alternative for decomposing organic waste, thereby reducing waste volume while supporting circular economy principles. This study aims to: (1) analyze community perception of organic waste management based on BSF maggots; (2) analyze the carbon reduction efficiency of the bioconversion activity; (3) analyze the economic feasibility of BSF maggot cultivation at TPS Pulau Tidung. The methods used are descriptive analysis with a Likert scale, emission reduction calculations based on IPCC guidelines, and cost-benefit analysis. The results of this study show that: (1) the community expressed strong agreement regarding the economic, environmental, and social benefits of the maggot facility; (2) the bioconversion activity is able to divert organic waste from the landfill while generating carbon economic value; (3) the organic waste bioconversion business using maggots at TPS Pulau Tidung is feasible to operate, having met all feasibility criteria of NPV, Net B/C, IRR, and Payback Period.
