      Pengaruh Aplikasi Asam Humat terhadap Kebutuhan Pupuk Nitrogen Terung Ungu (Solanum melongena L.)

      Abstract
      Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari pengaruh aplikasi asam humat terhadap pertumbuhan, produksi, dan kebutuhan pupuk nitrogen tanaman terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Pusat Kajian Hortikultura Tropika (PKHT), Tajur, Bogor, pada Desember 2025 sampai Mei 2026. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) dua faktor, yaitu dosis pemupukan nitrogen (0, 56, 112, 168, dan 224 kg ha?¹) yang setara dengan pupuk urea (0; 121,75; 243,5; 365,25; dan 487 kg ha?¹) dan asam humat (0 dan 11 kg ha?¹) dengan tiga ulangan. Peubah yang diamati meliputi pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif, komponen hasil, produktivitas, efisiensi pemupukan, dan sifat kimia tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dosis pemupukan nitrogen nyata meningkatkan nilai sebagian besar peubah pengamatan. Pemberian asam humat hanya berpengaruh pada beberapa karakter vegetatif dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap komponen hasil maupun produktivitas. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara dosis pupuk nitrogen dan asam humat pada seluruh peubah pengamatan. Produktivitas tertinggi diperoleh pada pemupukan nitrogen 168 kg ha?¹ yang menghasilkan produktivitas 37,85 ton ha?¹. Diprediksikan dosis pemupukan nitrogen optimum adalah 245,25 kg ha?¹ untuk menghasilkan produktivitas 38,89 ton ha?¹. Aplikasi asam humat yang digunakan belum mampu mengurangi kebutuhan pupuk nitrogen pada budidaya terung ungu.
       
      This study aimed to evaluate the effect of humic acid application on the growth, yield, and nitrogen fertilizer requirement of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The experiment was conducted at the Tropical Horticulture Research Center Experimental Field, Tajur, Bogor, from December 2025 to May 2026. A two-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used, consisting of five nitrogen fertilizer rates (0, 56, 112, 168 and 224 kg ha?¹) equivalent to urea fertilizer rates of (0; 121,75; 243,5; 365,25; and 487 kg ha?¹) and two humic acid rates (0 and 11 kg ha?¹) with three replications. The observed variables included vegetative and generative growth, yield components, productivity, fertilizer use efficiency, and soil chemical properties. The results showed that increase in nitrogen fertilizer ratessignificantly increased the values of most observed variables. Humic acid application significantly affected only several vegetative traits and had no significant effect on yield components or productivity. No interaction effect was observed between nitrogen fertilizer rates and humic acid application for all measured parameters. The highest productivity was obtained with the application of 168 kg ha?¹ of nitrogen, resulting in a productivity of 37,85 ton ha?¹. The optimum nitrogen fertilizer application rate was predicted to be 245,25 kg ha?¹, which resulted an estimated productivity of 38,89 ton ha?¹. The application of of humic acid in this experiment was unable to reduce the nitrogen fertilizer requirement in purple eggplant cultivation.
