dc.description.abstractProduksi sosis retort memerlukan kinerja mesin filler yang optimal untuk menjaga kelancaran proses dan kualitas produk. Tingginya downtime dan reject dapat menurunkan efisiensi produksi serta meningkatkan kerugian perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis evaluasi proses terhadap downtime dan reject mesin filler pada produksi sosis retort di PT XYZ Plant 2. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membandingkan data sebelum evaluasi (8-19 September 2025) dan sesudah evaluasi (13-24 Oktober 2025). Analisis dilakukan menggunakan diagram pareto dan RCA (Root Cause Analysis) dengan pendekatan 5M (Man, Machine, Method, Material, dan Environment) untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab utama kerusakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total downtime menurun sebesar 15,97%, dari 5.693 menit menjadi 4.784 menit, sedangkan total reject menurun sebesar 37,6%, dari 10.271,09 kg menjadi 6.405,40 kg. Jenis kerusakan dominan yang berkontribusi terhadap downtime adalah bearing primary u, printer fault, voider, dan gathering. Evaluasi proses efektif menurunkan reject kategori sealing, tetapi klip tajam masih menjadi penyumbang reject terbesar. Kerusakan terutama dipengaruhi oleh preventive maintenance yang belum optimal, ketidaksesuaian komponen, dan kondisi lingkungan produksi.
dc.description.abstractRetort sausage production requires optimal filler machine performance to maintain process efficiency and product quality. High downtime and reject rates may reduce production efficiency and increase operational losses. This study aimed to analyze the process evaluation on the downtime and reject of filler machines in retort sausage production at PT XYZ Plant 2. The study compared data collected before process evaluation (September 8-19, 2025) and after process evaluation (October 13-24, 2025). Data were analyzed using pareto diagrams and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) with the 5M approach (Man, Machine, Method, Material, and Environment) to identify the main causes of machine failures. The results showed that total downtime decreased by 15.97%, from 5,693 minutes to 4,784 minutes, while total reject decreased by 37.6%, from 10,271.09 kg to 6,405.40 kg. The dominant failures contributing to downtime were bearing primary u, printer fault, voider, and gathering. Process evaluation effectively reduced rejects related to sealing defects; however, sharp clip remained the largest contributor to rejects. Machine failures were mainly caused by suboptimal preventive maintenance, the use of incompatible components, and production environmental conditions.
