ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS MESIN TSUGAMI 7 MENGGUNAKAN METODE OEE SEBAGAI DASAR PERBAIKAN KINERJA MESIN DI PT XYZ
Abstract
Nilai MTBF sebelum usulan sebesar 755,76 menit, sedangkan MTTR berbasis downtime sebesar 106,71 menit. This research was motivated by the low effectiveness of the Tsugami 7 machine in the piston rod production process at PT XYZ. This machine plays an important role in cutting and machining activities, so machine failures can increase downtime and affect production target achievement. This study aimed to measure machine effectiveness using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, identify dominant losses through Six Big Losses, and analyze machine reliability using MTBF and MTTR. The data used in this study consisted of production data, downtime, defect data, and machine trouble records from January to March 2026. The results showed that the average OEE value before improvement was 78.44%, which was still below the world class standard of 85%. The highest loss was Breakdown Loss at 8,430 minutes or 42.01%. The MTBF value before improvement was 755.76 minutes, while the downtime-based MTTR was 106.71 minutes. The proposed improvements included preventive maintenance, a Daily Check Sheet, a One Point Lesson for machine maintenance, spare part labeling, and a One Point Lesson for spare part management. After the improvement was applied in April 2026, the average OEE increased to 83.44%. These results indicate that the proposed improvements had a positive initial impact on the effectiveness of the Tsugami 7 machine.
