| dc.description.abstract | Sektor limbah diproyeksikan menjadi kontributor terbesar kedua di Indonesia dalam menghasilkan emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) pada tahun 2060. Sampah rumah tangga merupakan salah satu permasalahan lingkungan utama dari sektor limbah. Sampah organik berperan dalam total emisi metana (CH4) sektor limbah melalui dekomposisi bahan organik. Biodigester merupakan salah satu methane capture project yang bertujuan mencegah pelepasan CH4 ke atmosfer dan menghasilkan biogas dari sampah organik. Produk biogas dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif gas petroleum cair (LPG) untuk memasak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengestimasi potensi emisi GRK yang dihasilkan dari sampah organik di TPS3R Kencana Permai; (2) mengestimasi potensi reduksi emisi GRK dengan adanya proyek biodigester untuk mengolah sampah organik; (3) menganalisis kelayakan finansial pengelolaan sampah organik melalui biodigester di TPS3R Kencana Permai Bogor. Metode yang digunakan Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) AMS-III.AO dan financial cost benefit analysis (CBA). Hasil estimasi emisi baseline adalah 46,13 tCO2e. Biodigester berpotensi mereduksi emisi GRK hingga 32%. Biodigester tidak layak dijalankan karena bioslurry tidak dikomersilkan. Ketidaklayakan ditunjukkan nilai Net Present Value (NPV) -Rp140.380.096, Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) 0,829, dan Internal Rate of Return (IRR) -17,42%. Proyek berpotensi layak dijalankan apabila potensi produksi biogas dimanfaatkan untuk memasak dan bioslurry dikomersilkan. Kelayakan ditunjukkan dengan nilai NPV Rp705.317.347, BCR 1,553, dan IRR 53,53%. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The waste sector is projected to become Indonesia`s second-largest source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2060, with household waste presenting a significant enviromental challenge. Organic waste, in particular, contributes substantially to methane (CH4) emissions through anaerobic decomposition. Biodigesters offer a mitigation strategy by capturing methane and converting organic waste into biogas, which may serve as an alternative to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for cooking. This study aims to (1) estimate the potential GHG emissions generated from organic waste at TPS3R Kencana Permai; (2) quantify the GHG emission reductions achievable through the implementation of a biodigester for organic waste treatment; and (3) asses the financial feasibility of biodigester-based organic waste management at TPS3R Kencana Permai, Bogor. The analysis employs the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) AMS-III.AO methodology and a financial cost benefit analysis (CBA). Results indicate baseline emissions amount to 46,13 tCO2e. The adoption of a biodigester could reduce GHG emissions by up to 32%. However, the project is not financially viable under current conditions, primarily due to the lack of bioslurry commercialization. The finanncial analysis yield a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 140.380.096, a Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) of 0,829, and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of -17,42%. Financial feasibility could be achieved if the biogas is fully utilized for cooking and the bioslurry is commercialized, resulting in an NPV of IDR Rp705.317.347, a BCR of 1,553, and an IRR of 53,53%. | |
