      Produksi, Mutu, dan Intensitas Dormansi dan Benih Padi IPB 3S Pada Beberapa Jenis dan Dosis Pupuk Nitrogen

      Abstract
      Benih padi (Oryza sativa) mempunyai periode dormansi after ripening yang dapat mengganggu siklus produksi benih. Penelitian ini merupakan upaya menentukan rekomendasi pemupukan dengan nitrogen berbentuk nitrat. Benih padi varietas IPB 3S yang digunakan merupakan varietas dengan periode after-ripening yang panjang. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan petak terbagi (Split-plot) dengan rancangan lingkungan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT). Petak utama adalah sumber pupuk nitrogen yaitu urea, KNO3, dan Phonska plus. Anak petak adalah dosis dengan unsur nitrogen yang disetarakan, yaitu 100%, 150%, dan 200% rekomendasi dengan tiga ulangan. Dosis rekomendasi merujuk pada Urea 350 kg ha-1, SP36 50 kg ha-1, dan KCl 50 kg ha-1 dengan asumsi sebagai dosis 100%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor tunggal jenis pupuk Phonska plus memberikan dampak signifikan pada pertumbuhan vegetatif, sedangkan produktivitas faktor tunggal pupuk urea dan KNO3 sama nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan Phonska plus. Kadar air panen benih terendah dihasilkan dengan pemupukan Phonska plus 2100 kg ha-1 (100%). Pemupukan dengan dengan (urea 100%) menghasilkan anakan produktif terbanyak dan Phonska plus 100% menghasilkan bobot 1000 butir tertinggi. Pemupukan tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap vigor dan viabilitas karena benih masih memiliki dormansi yang tinggi (98,67%). Intensitas dormansi terkecil (96%) ada pada 4 minggu setelah panen dari perlakuan pemupukan KNO3. Intensitas dormansi divalidasi melalui metode uji viabilitas benih menggunakan tetrazolium (TTZ) dengan dosis urea 100% memberikan hasil tertinggi.
       
      Rice seeds (Oryza sativa) possess after-ripening dormancy period that could disrupt the cycle of seed production. This research determines fertilization recommendations through nitrogen fertilization formed from nitrate. IPB 3S which was used in this research is a variety with a long after-ripening period. The split-plot design was used with randomized block design (RCBD). The main plot is type of fertilizer, namely urea, KNO3, and Phonska Plus. The subplots are fertilizer dosages that equalized Nitrogen, namely 100%, 150%, and 200% of the recommendation with three replications which Urea 350 kg ha-1, SP-36 50 kg ha-1, and KCl 50 kg ha-1 (Urea 100%) as recommended dose. Results show that application of Phonska plus gives a significant impact through the vegetative phase, while urea fertilization gives the highest productivity. The lowest seed moisture content was obtained with Phonska plus 2100 kg ha-1 (100%). Urea 100% produced the most tillers and Phonska plus 100% produced the highest grain weight. Most fertilization did not give any significant result towards vigor and viability, it because the seed was still giving hight intensity of dormancy and the lowest intensity of dormancy existed at 4th week, obtained by applying KNO3 fertilization. Dormancy intensity was validated through viability assessments using the tetrazolium (TTZ) test where the 100% urea dosage yielded the highest viability.
