Uji Varietas Unggulan Padi Gogo di Lahan Marginal Kecamatan Murung, Kabupaten Murung Raya, Kalimantan Tengah
Abstract
Varietas IPB 15S menghasilkan produktivitas tertinggi 5,22 ton ha-1, diikuti Inpago 12 sebesar 4,64 ton ha-1, keduanya melampaui rata-rata produktivitas Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Aksesi Talun Wangi berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai varietas unggul lokal berdasarkan keunggulan hasil ubinan, bobot gabah per rumpun, persentase anakan produktif, dan indeks panen dengan potensi produktivitas 4,22 ton ha-1. Agricultural land conversion drives the need for extensification into marginal land through the utilization of superior upland rice (padi gogo) varieties. This study aimed to analyze differences in growth and yield components among several types of upland rice and to identify the best cultivar for marginal land. The experiment was conducted in Danau Usung Village, Murung District, Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan, on red-yellow podzolic soil with a pH of 4.89. Nine cultivars were tested, comprising seven national superior varieties (IPB 8G, IPB 9G, IPB 10G, IPB 13S, IPB 15S, Inpago 12, and Inpago 13) and two local accessions (Garu and Talun Wangi), analyzed using the F test and DMRT at the 5% level. The results showed significant differences in growth and yield variables. The IPB 15S variety produced the highest productivity at 5.22 tons ha?¹, followed by Inpago 12 at 4.64 tons ha?¹, both exceeding the average productivity of Central Kalimantan Province. The Talun Wangi accession has potential to be developed as a superior local variety based on its advantages in plot yield, grain weight per hill, percentage of productive tillers, and harvest index, with a potential productivity of 4.22 tons ha?¹.
