Perancangan Tata Letak pada Unit Preparasi di Pabrik Elemented Detonator PT Dahana
Abstract
Tata letak Unit Preparasi Pabrik Elemented Detonator PT Dahana masih belum
optimal, ditandai dengan jarak perpindahan material yang jauh dan berulang.
Berdasarkan data, total jarak tempuh operator mencapai 1.225 meter per siklus,
dengan waktu siklus penanganan bahan sebesar 42 menit 5 detik dan ongkos
material handling sebesar Rp15.505.556 per bulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan
mengevaluasi tata letak existing serta merancang tata letak usulan untuk
meningkatkan efisiensi aliran material. Metode yang digunakan meliputi Peta
Proses Operasi (PPO), Rectilinear Distance, Activity Relationship Chart (ARC),
Total Closeness Rating (TCR), dan perhitungan Ongkos Material Handling
(OMH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata letak usulan mampu mengurangi
jarak perpindahan sebesar 547 meter (44,65%), menurunkan waktu siklus
penanganan bahan sebesar 1.190 detik (47,13%), serta menekan biaya material
handling sebesar Rp576.433 (3,72%). Dengan demikian, tata letak usulan
menghasilkan aliran material yang lebih terstruktur sesuai urutan proses produksi
dan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional Unit Preparasi. The layout of the Preparation Unit at the Elemented Detonator Plant of PT
Dahana has not yet been optimized, as indicated by long and repetitive material
movement distances. Based on the collected data, the operator's total travel distance
reached 1,225 meters per production cycle, with a material handling cycle time of
42 minutes and 5 seconds and a monthly material handling cost of IDR 15,505,556.
This study aims to evaluate the existing facility layout and develop a proposed
layout to improve material flow efficiency. The methods employed include the
Operation Process Chart (OPC), Rectilinear Distance, Activity Relationship Chart
(ARC), Total Closeness Rating (TCR), and Material Handling Cost (MHC)
analysis. The results show that the proposed layout reduced the material movement
distance by 547 meters (44.65%), decreased the material handling cycle time by
1,190 seconds (47.13%), and lowered the material handling cost by IDR 576,433
(3.72%). Therefore, the proposed layout provides a more systematic material flow
that follows the production sequence and improves operational efficiency in the
Preparation Unit.
