      Desain dan Stabilitas Kapal Pinisi Produksi Galangan Kapal Tradisional Bulukumba (Studi Kasus di Galangan Kapal Deppaewa Boat)

      Abstract
      Panrita lopi (pengrajin kapal) telah membangun kapal pinisi di Bulukumba selama ratusan tahun sehingga menjadi identitas budaya maritim yang diakui UNESCO sebagai Warisan Budaya Takbenda Dunia pada tahun 2017. Seiring berkembangnya regulasi pelayaran, kapal dituntut memenuhi persyaratan keselamatan dan kelaiklautan. Namun, galangan kapal tradisional di Bulukumba, termasuk Deppaewa Boat, umumnya belum menerapkan desain dan perhitungan teknis kapal secara sistematis. Keterbatasan dokumentasi teknis tersebut menyulitkan pemenuhan persyaratan kelaiklautan dan perizinan berlayar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik hidrostatis dan stabilitas kapal pinisi pengangkut berdasarkan prinsip arsitektur perkapalan serta standar International Maritime Organization (IMO). Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi dan pengukuran langsung terhadap kapal. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis rasio dimensi, analisis deskriptif numerik, dan analisis deskriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapal memiliki karakteristik daya apung yang baik, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai volume displacement sebesar 120,098 m³. Analisis stabilitas menunjukkan bahwa kapal telah memenuhi kriteria stabilitas yang ditetapkan oleh IMO. Dari seluruh kondisi pembebanan yang dianalisis, kondisi II (kapal dengan muatan penuh dan kapasitas bahan bakar tersisa 50%) menunjukkan performa stabilitas terbaik dibandingkan kondisi pembebanan lainnya. Nilai Motion Sickness Index (MSI) berada pada tingkatan sangat nyaman bagi awak kapal pinisi pengangkut.
       
      Panrita lopi (boat builders) have been constructing pinisi ships in Bulukumba for hundreds of years, making them a symbol of maritime culture recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2017. As shipping regulations have evolved, vessels are required to meet safety and seaworthiness standards. However, traditional shipyards in Bulukumba, including Deppaewa Boat, have not systematically implemented technical ship design and calculations. Consequently, limited technical documentation hinders compliance with seaworthiness and sailing permit requirements. Therefore, this study analyzes the hydrostatic characteristics and stability of a cargo pinisi vessel based on naval architecture principles and International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards. The research employed direct observation and onboard measurements. The data were analyzed using dimensional ratio, numerical descriptive, and comparative descriptive analyses. The results indicate that the vessel has good buoyancy characteristics, with a displacement volume of 120.098 m³. Stability analysis confirms that the vessel satisfies the IMO stability criteria under all loading conditions. Among these conditions, Condition II, representing a fully loaded vessel with 50% of its fuel capacity remaining, provides the best stability performance. Furthermore, the Motion Sickness Index (MSI) indicates a very comfortable onboard motion level for the crew during vessel operation.
