| dc.description.abstract | Peningkatan permintaan industri surimi terhadap ikan demersal bernilai ekonomis rendah mendorong tingginya intensitas penangkapan, termasuk di PPP Klidang Lor yang didominasi oleh alat tangkap JTB. Kondisi ini berpotensi menekan sumber daya demersal hingga mengarah pada overfishing. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji karakteristik unit penangkapan JTB, komposisi hasil tangkapan, dan distribusi ukuran ikan. Data primer diperoleh dari observasi lapangan, wawancara terhadap 31 responden dengan metode purposive sampling, serta pengukuran biometrik pada lima spesies dominan, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari logbook penangkapan. Unit JTB yang diamati berupa kapal kayu berukuran 21–30 GT dengan mesin berkekuatan 30–180 PK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total produksi sebesar 91.458,63 ton yang terdiri dari 26 spesies, mencakup 9 spesies tangkapan utama (82%) dan 17 spesies tangkapan sampingan (18%). Analisis hubungan panjang-bobot menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan alometrik negatif pada seluruh spesies dominan, dengan mayoritas ukuran ikan telah mencapai ukuran layak tangkap (Lm), meskipun individu juvenil masih ditemukan. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Rising demand from the surimi industry for low-value demersal fish has intensified fishing pressure, particularly at Coastal Fishing Port Klidang Lor, where catches are dominated by Danish Seine (JTB) gear, raising concerns of overfishing. This study examined JTB unit characteristics, catch composition, and fish size distribution using field observations, interviews with 31 respondents (purposive sampling), biometric measurements of five dominant species, and logbook data. JTB units were wooden vessels of 21–30 GT with 30–180 HP engines. Total catch reached 91.458,63 tons across 26 species, comprising 9 main species (82%) and 17 bycatch species (18%). Length-weight analysis showed negative allometric growth in all dominant species, with most individuals at or above length at first maturity (Lm), though juveniles were still present. | |
