dc.description.abstractAtol Kapota yang terletak di Kabupaten Wakatobi, Sulawesi Tenggara, dikenal memiliki biodiversitas tinggi dan karakteristik yang kompleks, sehingga diperlukan data batimetri yang memadai untuk memahami morfologi dasar laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis batimetri menggunakan Single Beam Echosounder (SBES) serta mengidentifikasi morfologi dasar laut berdasarkan batimetri dan slope. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis spasial menggunakan QGIS dan analisis slope berdasarkan Zuidam (1985). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedalaman perairan berkisar antara 1.3–92.4 m dengan pola morfologi berupa reef flat, laguna, dan reef slope. Analisis slope menunjukkan dominasi kelas datar sebesar 49,52%, dengan peningkatan kemiringan pada bagian luar atol serta variasi kemiringan pada skala mikro di zona reef slope dan zona transisi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, morfologi Atol Kapota diinterpretasikan sebagai hasil interaksi proses biogenik, hidrodinamika, dan sedimentasi, sehingga dapat menjadi dasar informasi bagi pengelolaan dan perencanaan ruang laut.
dc.description.abstractKapota Atoll, located in Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, is known for its high biodiversity and complex characteristics, requiring adequate bathymetric data to understand seafloor morphology. This study aimed to analyze bathymetry using a Single Beam Echosounder (SBES) and to identify seafloor morphology based on bathymetry and slope. The methods employed included spatial analysis using QGIS and slope analysis based on Zuidam (1985). The results showed that the water depth ranged from 1.3 to 92.4 m, with morphological features consisting of reef flats, lagoons, and reef slopes. Slope analysis indicated that the flat slope class dominated the study area, accounting for 49.52%, with increasing slope gradients toward the outer part of the atoll and micro-scale variations identified within the reef slope and transition zones. Based on the analysis, the morphology of Kapota Atoll was interpreted as the result of the interaction among biogenic processes, hydrodynamic processes, and sedimentation, thereby providing baseline information for marine management and marine spatial planning.
