      Abstract

A profile video is an effective audiovisual medium for representing an institution's identity, processes, and strengths to the public in an informative and engaging manner. The Coffee Teaching Factory (TEFA) at IPB Vocational School, as an industry-based learning unit, requires such a medium to introduce its strengths and coffee production processes to the general public, prospective students, and industry partners. The post-production stage is a critical component of profile video production, as it determines how recorded material is packaged into a structured, communicative, and high-quality audiovisual message. Without systematic management, the editing process risks producing a monotonous video that diminishes its appeal and the effectiveness of information delivery. Based on this problem, this final project aims to describe the post-production process in producing a profile video for the Coffee TEFA at IPB Vocational School, resulting in an audiovisual medium that is informative and capable of representing the Coffee TEFA effectively. This final project was carried out over four months, from February to May 2026, at the Coffee Teaching Factory of IPB Vocational School. The profile video was developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, focusing on the post-production process, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. During the concept and design stages, the visual style, color tone, and storyboard were established as editing references. The material collecting stage produced a collection of footage, graphic elements, background music, and sound effects required for the video. The assembly stage formed the core of the editing process, encompassing footage cutting and sequencing, audio synchronization, the addition of motion graphics and subtitles, and color grading using the CapCut application. The testing stage was conducted together with the supervising lecturer and representatives of the Coffee TEFA to evaluate visual and audio quality before the video was finalized, while the distribution stage involved rendering the video into its final format and publishing it through the official YouTube channel of IPB Vocational School. The outcome of this project is a Coffee TEFA profile video with a duration of 3 minutes and 58 seconds in 4K format (3840×2160p), depicting the upstream-to-downstream coffee production process concisely and accessibly. The application of the MDLC method provided a structured workflow, enabling each editing stage to be carried out in a directed manner consistent with the concept and design established from the outset. Consequently, the resulting profile video is able to present information about the Coffee Teaching Factory at IPB Vocational School in an informative and communicative way, while also supporting promotional needs and strengthening the image of the Coffee TEFA as a sustainable, industry-based learning ecosystem.
