| dc.description.abstract | PT XYZ menghadapi permasalahan pada lini produksi botol PET 1000 ml
berupa tingginya reject rate pada proses Stretch Blow Molding (SBM),
penumpukan Work in Process (WIP), dan lead time produksi yang panjang.
Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang Value Stream Mapping (VSM) untuk
mengidentifikasi pemborosan dan menyusun usulan perbaikan sistem produksi.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan lead time produksi mencapai 540,32 menit dengan
Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) sebesar 0,060%. Proses SBM teridentifikasi
sebagai bottleneck utama dengan nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
sebesar 59,66% dan reject rate 9,41%. Usulan future state meliputi pengurangan
waktu aging preform, eliminasi aging botol, relokasi bahan pendukung ke area
point-of-use, dan penerapan pull system berbasis kanban. Perbaikan tersebut
diproyeksikan menurunkan lead time menjadi 120,32 menit, meningkatkan good
output hingga sekitar 13.000 botol per hari, serta memberikan potensi manfaat
finansial sebesar Rp2,8 miliar per tahun. | |

Work in Process (WIP) inventory, and long production lead time. This study aimed
to develop a Value Stream Mapping (VSM) model to identify waste and propose
production system improvements. The results showed that the production lead time
reached 540.32 minutes with a Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) of 0.060%. The
SBM process was identified as the main bottleneck, with an Overall Equipment
Effectiveness (OEE) value of 59.66% and a reject rate of 9.41%. The proposed
future state includes reducing preform aging time, eliminating bottle aging,
relocating supporting materials to a point-of-use area, and implementing a kanbanbased pull system. These improvements are projected to reduce lead time to 120.32
minutes, increase good output to approximately 13,000 bottles per day, and
generate potential financial benefits of around IDR 2.8 billion per year. | |
