      Stratifikasi Massa Air dan Hubungannya dengan Klorofil-a di Perairan Banggai, Laut Maluku

      Abstract
      Perairan Banggai merupakan bagian penting jalur Arus Lintas Indonesia (Arlindo) dengan dinamika oseanografi yang memengaruhi distribusi massa air dan produktivitas perairan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data CTD hasil Ekspedisi BUDEE (September 2022) untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik massa air dan distribusi klorofil-a. Hasil menunjukkan stratifikasi tiga lapisan utama dengan keberadaan massa air North Pacific Subtropical Water (NPSW), North Pacific Intermediate Water (NPIW), dan Antarctic Intermediate Water (AAIW). Konsentrasi klorofil-a tertinggi mencapai 1,71 mg/m³ pada kedalaman 50 m, dengan indikasi upwelling lokal dan Depth Chlorophyll Maximum (DCM) yang mencerminkan pengaruh stratifikasi terhadap suplai nutrien dan produktivitas primer.
       
      The Banggai waters are an important part of the Indonesian Throughflow (Arlindo) system, with oceanographic dynamics that influence water mass distribution and marine productivity. This study uses CTD data from the BUDEE Expedition (September 2022) to identify water mass characteristics and chlorophyll-a distribution. The results show a three-layer stratification with the presence of North Pacific Subtropical Water (NPSW), North Pacific Intermediate Water (NPIW), and Antarctic Intermediate Water (AAIW). The highest chlorophyll-a concentration reached 1.71 mg/m³ at a depth of 50 m, indicating local upwelling and a Depth Chlorophyll Maximum (DCM) that reflects the influence of stratification on nutrient supply and primary productivity.
