      Induksi Perbanyakan Tunas Aglaonema ’Big Roy’ dan ’Snow White’ pada Berbagai Konsentrasi Benzylaminopurine

      Abstract
      Aglaonema merupakan tanaman hias bernilai ekonomi tinggi yang umumnya diperbanyak secara vegetatif. Benzylaminopurine (BAP) sebagai sitokinin sintetis berperan dalam merangsang pembelahan sel dan pembentukan tunas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan konsentrasi BAP yang optimal untuk menginduksi perbanyakan tunas Aglaonema ‘Big Roy’ dan ‘Snow White’. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Greenhouse Kebun Percobaan Sukamantri IPB pada November 2025–Februari 2026 menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) faktor tunggal dengan empat taraf konsentrasi BAP (0, 5, 10, dan 20 ppm). Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan uji DMRT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Aglaonema ‘Big Roy’, BAP berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah tunas atas, waktu muncul tunas bawah, tinggi dan diameter tunas atas, waktu gugur daun pancing, serta jumlah daun. BAP 10 ppm menghasilkan jumlah tunas atas tertinggi dan mempertahankan daun pancing lebih lama, sedangkan BAP 20 ppm menghasilkan diameter tunas atas dan jumlah daun tertinggi. Pada Aglaonema ‘Snow White’, BAP berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah tunas atas, waktu muncul tunas, dan tinggi tunas atas, dengan respons terbaik pada 10 ppm. Secara keseluruhan, aplikasi BAP secara ex vitro meningkatkan beberapa aspek pertumbuhan tunas, meskipun respons berbeda antar kultivar.
       
      Aglaonema is a high-value ornamental plant commonly propagated through vegetative methods. Benzylaminopurine (BAP), a synthetic cytokinin, promotes cell division and shoot formation. This study aimed to determine the optimum BAP concentration for inducing shoot proliferation in Aglaonema 'Big Roy' and 'Snow White'. The experiment was conducted in the Sukamantri Experimental Farm Greenhouse, IPB University, from November 2025 to February 2026 using a single-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four BAP concentrations (0, 5, 10, and 20 ppm). Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level. In 'Big Roy', BAP significantly affected the number of upper shoots, lower shoot emergence time, upper shoot height and diameter, bait leaf retention, and leaf number. BAP at 10 ppm produced the highest number of upper shoots and prolonged bait leaf retention, whereas 20 ppm resulted in the largest upper shoot diameter and highest leaf number. In 'Snow White', BAP significantly affected the number of upper shoots, shoot emergence time, and upper shoot height, with 10 ppm producing the best growth response. Overall, ex vitro BAP application improved several aspects of shoot growth, although the responses varied between cultivars.
