Curly red chili peppers are a horticultural commodity with high economic value, but their productivity still faces challenges due to declining soil quality and low efficiency in water and nutrient use. Information regarding the effectiveness of various types and combinations of soil amendments applied through this system remains limited. This study aims to evaluate the effects of various types and combinations of soil amendments on the growth, yield, Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE), and Water Use Efficiency (WUE) of curly red chili plants. The study was conducted from November 2025 to May 2026 at the Cikarawang B Experimental Station. A single-factor completely randomized block design (CRBD) was used, with seven treatments and five replications. The treatments consisted of a control,
dolomite, manure, biofertilizer, a combination of dolomite and manure, a combination of dolomite and biofertilizer, and a combination of dolomite, manure, and biofertilizer. Total productivity ranged from 4.81 to 7.36 metric tons ha?¹, NUE values ranged from 9.88 to 15.11 kg kg?¹, and WUE values ranged from 3.98 to 6.09 kg m?³. The results of the study indicate that the application of various types or combinations of soil amendments had no significant effect on the growth and yield components of curly red chili plants; however, the addition of manure was able to improve nutrient and water use efficiency through the fertigation system.
