Pengendalian Persediaan Produk Karpet Sapi pada Unit Bisnis Waserda di KPSBU Lembang
Abstract
The data used consisted of demand and inventory data for cowhide carpets during the observation period, which were analyzed using the moving average, exponential smoothing, trend analysis, and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) methods. The results of the study showed that the trend analysis method yielded the lowest error rate, with the smallest error value of 13.40%, and was therefore selected as the best forecasting method. Based on the forecasting results, an annual demand of 2,037 units was obtained and used in the EOQ calculation. The resulting economic order quantity is 42 units per order with a frequency of 48 times per year, a safety stock of 1 unit, and a reorder point of 21 units. The application of the EOQ method reduced total inventory costs from IDR 2,663,333 to IDR 962,497 or resulting in a cost efficiency of 63%. The study produced a microsoft excel inventory control system design that can serve as an operational guideline for more effective, measurable planning and control of cowhide carpet inventory.
