Low dissolved oxygen availability in flooded rice fields can inhibit root respiration and reduce nutrient uptake by rice plants. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Fine Bubble Technology (FBT) on dissolved oxygen concentration, growth, and yield of Sintanur rice. The experiment was conducted from February to June 2026 at Kinjiro Farm, Bogor, using four treatments: FBT with Subsurface Irrigation (FBT-SSI), FBT with Surface Irrigation (FBT-SI), Non-FBT-SSI, and Non-FBT-SI. The observed parameters included dissolved oxygen concentration, plant height, number of tillers, and crop productivity. The results showed that FBT increased dissolved oxygen concentration by 70.5% in the FBT-SSI treatment and by 54.1% in the FBT-SI treatment. The FBT-SI treatment produced the highest growth and productivity, with a plant height of 137.1 cm, 14 tillers per hill, and grain productivity of 3.48 t ha?¹, whereas treatments without FBT produced only 2.66–2.87 t ha?¹. Dissolved oxygen concentration was positively associated with plant growth and productivity. The results indicate that the application of FBT combined with appropriate water-level management has the potential to increase rice productivity through improved root-zone aeration.
