Moringa (Moringa oleifera) and bay (Syzygium polyanthum) leaves have been widely used as herbal teas and health beverages; however, their safety requires further evaluation. This study aimed to determine the toxic potential, toxic symptoms, and acute toxicity of a combination infusion of moringa and bay leaves in mice based on the LD50 value. A total of 20 mice were divided into five groups: one control group and four treatment groups receiving oral doses of 1, 5, 10, and 15 g/kg body weight (BW) of a 1:1 combination infusion of moringa and bay leaves. No mortality was observed in any group. Clinical signs, physiological responses, and body weight showed no significant differences among the groups (p > 0.05). However, a significant difference was observed in the absolute liver weight (p < 0.05), whereas relative organ weights showed no significant differences (p > 0.05). The combination infusion of moringa and bay leaves did not cause mortality, significant signs of toxicity, or macroscopic organ alterations and was therefore classified as practically non-toxic.
