Fluctuations in agribusiness commodity prices, particularly cherry tomatoes, have caused significant losses for farmers, with selling prices plummeting to as low as IDR 10,000 per kilogram. This study aims to analyze the added value and to assess the feasibility of a candied cherry tomatoes processing business, from both non-financial and financial aspects, as a means of increasing farmers' income. The results show that candied cherry tomatoes products generate an added value of up to 65% and a profit rate of 63%. The financial feasibility analysis, based on cash flow projections and investment criteria, yielded a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 121.536.144, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 20%, a Net Benefit-Cost Ratio (Net B/C) of 1,728, a Gross Benefit-Cost Ratio (Gross B/C) of 1.081, and a Payback Period (PP) of 5,06 years (5 years and 1 months), indicating that the business is financially feasible and profitable. In addition, the Revenue-Cost (R/C) Ratio increased significantly from 0,954 to 1.126 following business development, indicating improved efficiency and profitability. These findings suggest that processing tomatoes into candied cherry tomatoes is a strategic approach that is highly recommended for increasing both the added value of the product and the income of cherry tomato farmers.
