| dc.description.abstract | Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots and tofu residue have the potential to be used as nutritious and cost-effective alternative feeds. This study aimed to analyze the effect of a feed combination of BSF maggots and tofu residue on the growth, protein content, and amino acid profile of catfish. Three feed treatments were used: P1 (standard feed), P2 (a combination of BSF maggots and tofu residue), and P3 (maggot meal), with a rearing period of 28 days. Parameters observed included growth rate, soluble protein, and amino acids. The results showed that feeding a combination of BSF maggots and tofu residue had no significant effect on length gain, body weight gain, percentage weight gain, and specific grow rate. P2
produced the highest soluble protein (19,40 mg/g) and free amino acids (109,96 mg/g). The highest amino acid profiles were lysine (essential amino acid) and glutamic acid (non-essential amino acid). These results indicate that the combination of BSF maggots and tofu residue can produce high-protein feed and has potential as an alternative feed source for catfish.
