      Abstract
      Wilayah pesisir Gebang, Cirebon merupakan wilayah dinamis yang mengalami perubahan garis pantai akibat interaksi faktor alam maupun faktor manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi garis pantai dengan menggunakan metode NDWI dan MNDWI, serta memetakan dan menghitung laju perubahan garis pantai dari tahun 2016, 2020, dan 2025 yang disebabkan oleh proses abrasi dan akresi di Kecamatan Gebang menggunakan citra Sentinel-2A. Pengolahan data dilakukan melalui image pre-processing, ekstraksi garis pantai, koreksi pasang surut, analisis perubahan garis pantai menggunakan metode QGIS Shoreline Change Analysis Tool (QSCAT), dan pengolahan data oseanografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan MNDWI menghasilkan batas darat-laut yang lebih jelas dibandingkan NDWI. Perubahan garis pantai tahun 2016 – 2025 menunjukkan dinamika abrasi hingga akresi sangat berat. Abrasi tertinggi terjadi di Desa Melakasari dengan kemunduran maksimum 600,55 m dan laju 63,75 m/th, sedangkan akresi tertinggi terjadi di Desa Pelayangan dengan kemajuan maksimum 103,43 m dan laju 10,98 m/th. Perbandingan perubahan garis pantai antarperiode menunjukkan wilayah timur Kecamatan Gebang mengalami perubahan dari dominan akresi pada 2016 – 2020 menjadi dominan abrasi pada 2020 – 2025. Abrasi dan akresi dipengaruhi oleh alih fungsi mangrove menjadi tambak, gelombang laut yang kuat, dan sedimentasi.
       
      The coastal area of Gebang, Cirebon is a dynamic region experiencing shoreline changes due to interaction of natural and anthropogenic factors. This study aims to detect shorelines using NDWI and MNDWI methods, and to map and calculate shoreline change rates in 2016, 2020, and 2025 caused by abrasion and accretion processes in Gebang District using Sentinel-2A imagery. Data processing was carried out through image pre-processing, shoreline extraction, tidal correction, shoreline change analysis using QGIS Shoreline Change Analysis Tool (QSCAT), and oceanographic data processing. The results show that MNDWI produces a clearer land-water boundary than NDWI. Shoreline changes during 2016 – 2025 indicate dynamic conditions ranging from severe abrasion to severe accretion. The highest abrasion occurred in Melakasari Village, with a maximum shoreline retreat of 600.55 m and a rate of 63.75 m/yr. Meanwhile, the highest accretion occurred in Pelayangan Village, with a maximum shoreline advance of 103.43 m and a rate of 10.98 m/yr. A comparison of shoreline changes between periods shows that the eastern part of Gebang District shifted from dominantly accretional in 2016 – 2020 to dominantly abrasional in 2020 – 2025. Abrasion and accretion were influenced by mangrove conversion into ponds, strong ocean waves, and sedimentation.
