dc.description.abstractVirus keriting kuning (PYLCV) merupakan kendala utama dalam budidaya cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) yang dapat menyebabkan kehilangan hasil hingga 100%. Penggunaan varietas hibrida tahan virus menjadi solusi efektif untuk menjaga stabilitas produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan informasi keragaan calon varietas hibrida cabai rawit memiliki ketahanan terhadap virus keriting kuning dan produktivitas tinggi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Penelitian Alam Sinarsari IPB pada Oktober 2025 hingga Maret 2026 menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) faktor tunggal dengan 12 genotipe dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa genotipe berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap hampir seluruh karakter kuantitatif. Genotipe F1.422465 menunjukkan performa terbaik dengan produktivitas 7,13 ton ha?¹. Seluruh hibrida uji IPB memiliki tingkat kejadian penyakit yang jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan varietas pembanding Rawita F1. Karakter kualitatif memberikan informasi sebagai pembeda antar genotipe. Preferensi konsumen dipengaruhi oleh minat individu terhadap genotipe. Genotipe hibrida uji F1.422464 dan F1.422465 berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai varietas unggul baru yang memiliki produktivitas dan tahan virus keriting kuning.
dc.description.abstractPepper yellow leaf curl virus (PYLCV) represents a major constraint bird eye chilli cultivation (Capsicum frutescens L.), which can cause yield losses of up to 100%. The deployment of virus-resistant hybrid varieties is an effective solution to maintain production stability. This study aimed to assess the agronomic performance of candidate hybrid varieties of cayenne pepper, particularly their resistance to pepper yellow leaf curl virus and their high-yield potential. The research was conducted at the Sinarsari Experimental Field of IPB from October 2025 to March 2026 using a single-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 12 genotypes and 3 replications. The results showed that genotype had a highly significant effect on almost all quantitative traits. Genotype F1.422465 exhibited the best performance with the productivity 7,13 ton ha?¹. Hybrid test genotypes showed much lower disease incidence compared to the check variety Rawita F1. Qualitative characteristics serve as important descriptors for differentiating genotypes. Consumer preferences are influenced by individual perceptions and levels of interest toward specific genotypes. F1.422464 and F1.422465 as hybrid test genotypes have great potential to be developed as new superior varieties that are both high-yielding and pepper yellow leaf curl virus-resistant.
