dc.description.abstractBycatch merupakan isu global pada perikanan tangkap karena meningkatkan mortalitas biota non-target dan mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistem. Perikanan rajungan di Cirebon dengan jaring kejer menghasilkan tangkapan campuran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis komposisi, keanekaragaman, dan kerentanan bycatch, serta merumuskan pengelolaan berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilakukan pada September-November 2025 melalui observasi tangkapan dan wawancara nelayan yang menggunakan jaring kejer. Hasil menunjukkan bycatch terdiri dari 35 spesies dengan keanekaragaman sedang, keseragaman tinggi, dan dominansi rendah mencerminkan komunitas relatif stabil. Komposisi bycatch juga mencakup berbagai tingkat trofik yang menunjukkan adanya interaksi penangkapan terhadap struktur rantai makanan. Tingkat kerentanan spesies berada pada kategori rendah hingga sedang. Secara keseluruhan, aktivitas penangkapan rajungan berpotensi memengaruhi struktur komunitas perairan sehingga diperlukan pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan.
dc.description.abstractBycatch is a global issue in capture fisheries as it increases non-target mortality and disrupts ecosystem balance. The blue swimming crab fishery in Cirebon using gillnets produces mixed catches. This study aimed to analyze the composition, diversity, and vulnerability of bycatch, and to formulate sustainable management strategies. The research was conducted from September to November 2025 through catch observations and interviews with fishers using gillnets. The results showed that bycatch consisted of 35 species with moderate diversity, high evenness, and low dominance, indicating a relatively stable community. The bycatch composition also included various trophic levels, reflecting interactions between fishing activities and food web structure. Species vulnerability ranged from low to moderate. Overall, crab fishing activities have the potential to affect community structure, highlighting the need for sustainable management.
