Forest and land fires in Muaro Jambi Regency are a major concern due to the presence of fire-prone peatlands, especially during the dry season. This study aimed to analyze hotspot distribution from 2016 to 2025 and develop a spatial model of forest and land fire susceptibility. The model was developed using the Composite Mapping Analysis method by integrating land cover, soil type, distance from roads, settlements, and rivers. The results showed 5,153 hotspots concentrated in peatland areas, particularly in Kumpeh and Kumpeh Ulu Districts. Environmental variables had a more dominant influence on fire occurrence, with a macro weight of 0.63, compared to social variables with a macro weight of 0.37. The best spatial model was obtained using a three-class susceptibility classification, with an overall accuracy of 70.82%. High-susceptibility areas covering 71,029.94 ha should be prioritized for forest and land fire mitigation.
