      Pemodelan Frekuensi Klaim Asuransi Kendaraan Menggunakan Binomial Negatif Bivariat Berbasis Copula

      Abstract
      Pemodelan klaim asuransi merupakan komponen penting dalam penetapan premi karena mencerminkan tingkat risiko tertanggung. Penelitian ini menggunakan model binomial negatif bivariat berbasis copula untuk memodelkan dependensi antarklaim dalam satu polis asuransi kendaraan bermotor dengan 50000 observasi. Pendekatan copula dipilih karena mampu memisahkan distribusi marginal dan struktur dependensi secara fleksibel, sehingga hubungan antarpeubah dapat dimodelkan secara lebih akurat. Data klaim tetap mempertahankan outlier untuk mengidentifikasi ketergantungan pada ekor distribusi (tail dependence). Hasil pemodelan menunjukkan bahwa copula Gumbel memberikan kinerja yang lebih baik berdasarkan nilai AIC lebih rendah. Copula Gumbel memiliki koefisien upper tail dependence sebesar 0,3759 yang menunjukkan kemampuan lebih kuat dalam menangkap kejadian ekstrem pada ekor atas, sedangkan copula t-Student memiliki koefisien tail dependence simetris sebesar 0,2155 pada kedua ekor, yang menunjukkan kemampuannya dalam menangkap ketergantungan ekstrem secara lebih menyeluruh. Oleh karena itu, kedua copula memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam memodelkan dependensi frekuensi klaim, namun masing-masing menunjukkan keunggulan pada karakteristik dependensi yang berbeda.
       
      Insurance claim modeling is an important component in premium determination because it reflects the level of policyholder risk. This study employs a copula-based bivariate negative binomial model to capture dependence between claims within a single motor vehicle insurance policy using 50000 observations. The copula approach is chosen due to its flexibility in modeling the dependence structure by separating the marginal distributions from the dependence structure, allowing for a more accurate representation of the relationship between variables. The claim data retain the presence of outlier to identify tail dependence in the distribution. The results indicate that the Gumbel copula provides superior performance, as evidenced by a lower AIC value. The Gumbel copula has an upper tail dependence coefficient of 0.3759, indicating a stronger ability to capture extreme events in the upper tail, whereas the t-Student copula has a symmetric tail dependence coefficient of 0.2155 in both tails, demonstrating its ability to capture extreme dependence more comprehensively. Therefore, both copulas demonstrate strong capability in modeling the dependence of claim frequencies, however, each exhibits superior performance for different dependence characteristics.
