      Pengaruh Umur dan Jumlah Bibit pada Sistem Tanam Pindah terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Padi Sawah Varietas IPB 13S

      Abstract
      Padi (Oryza sativa L.) merupakan komoditas pangan utama di Indonesia dengan tingkat konsumsi yang tinggi dan kebutuhan yang terus meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan jumlah penduduk. Salah satu upaya peningkatan produksi dapat dilakukan melalui perbaikan teknik budidaya antara lain perlu dikajinya pengaruh dari perbedaan umur dan jumlah bibit pada sistem tanam pindah. Penelitian ini menggunakan varietas unggul tipe baru IPB 13S yang memiliki potensi hasil tinggi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Sawah Baru IPB, Dramaga, Bogor, pada bulan September 2025 hingga Januari 2026 dengan menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) faktorial. Perlakuan percobaan terdiri dari umur bibit (10, 16, 22, dan 28 Hari Setelah Semai (HSS)) dan jumlah bibit per rumpun (1, 3, dan 5 bibit). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur bibit berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, bobot kering akar, bobot kering malai, nisbah akar tajuk, umur berbunga, umur panen, jumlah gabah per malai, persentase gabah terisi, serta bobot gabah ubinan dan bobot gabah per hektar. Jumlah bibit per rumpun berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, bobot kering tajuk, indeks panen umur berbunga, umur panen, jumlah gabah per malai, dan bobot gabah per rumpun. Interaksi antara faktor umur bibit dan jumlah bibit menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata pada hampir seluruh peubah pengamatan. Penggunaan bibit muda (10–16 HSS) dengan 1–3 bibit per rumpun direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan memperoleh pertumbuhan dan hasil yang optimal.
       
      Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a major food commodity in Indonesia, with high consumption levels and continuously increasing demand in line with population growth. One approach to increasing rice production is improving cultivation practices, including optimizing age and the number of seedlings used in transplanting systems. This study employed the newly developed high-yielding rice variety IPB 13S. The experiment was conducted at the IPB Sawah Baru Experimental Farm, Dramaga, Bogor, from September 2025 to January 2026 using a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The experimental treatments consisted of seedling age (10, 16, 22, and 28 days after sowing (DAS)) and the number of seedlings per clump (1, 3, and 5 seedlings). The results showed that seedling age significantly affected plant height, number of tillers, dry root weight, dry panicle weight, root-to-shoot ratio, flowering time, harvest time, grains per panicle, grain filling percentage, as well as grain weight per plot and grain weight per hectare. The number of seedlings per hill had a significant effect on plant height, number of tillers, dry weight of the canopy, harvest index, flowering time, harvest time, number of grains per panicle, and grain weight per hill. The interaction between seedling age and the number of seedlings showed no significant differences in almost all observed variables. The use of young seedlings (10–16 days after sowing) at a rate of 1–3 seedlings per clump is recommended to improve efficiency and achieve optimal growth and yield.
