dc.description.abstractObesitas merupakan penumpukan lemak berlebih yang mengganggu kesehatan metabolik. Orlistat efektif sebagai antiobesitas, tetapi menimbulkan efek samping. Kencur dan daun kemangi berpotensi sebagai obat antiobesitas. Penelitian ini menentukan kombinasi terbaik ekstrak etanol 70% (v/v) kencur dan daun kemangi berdasarkan parameter fitokimia, aktivitas antioksidan, dan inhibisi lipase pankreas secara in vitro. Metode mencakup ekstraksi ultrasonikasi, formulasi kombinasi, pengujian kadar fenolik dan flavonoid total, aktivitas antioksidan metode DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl) dan FRAP (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power), serta inhibisi lipase pankreas. Hasil menunjukkan kombinasi ekstrak kencur dan daun kemangi menghasilkan interaksi aditif pada semua uji. Ekstrak tunggal daun kemangi menunjukkan aktivitas tertinggi pada fenolik total, flavonoid total, dan aktivitas antioksidan. Kombinasi terbaik diperoleh pada rasio 1:3 untuk flavonoid total, rasio 1:3 untuk aktivitas antioksidan DPPH dan FRAP, serta rasio 1:2 untuk inhibisi lipase pankreas sebesar 57,48 ± 0,24%.
dc.description.abstractObesity is the accumulation of excess fat that disrupts metabolic health. Orlistat is effective as an anti-obesity agent but causes side effects. Kaempferia galanga and Ocimum basilicum show potential as anti-obesity drugs. This study determined the best combination of 70% (v/v) ethanol extracts of kencur and basil leaves based on phytochemical parameters, antioxidant activity, and pancreatic lipase inhibition in vitro. Methods included ultrasonic extraction, combination formulation, total phenolic and flavonoid content assays, antioxidant activity via DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) and FRAP (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power) methods, and pancreatic lipase inhibition. The results showed that the combination of aromatic ginger and basil leaf extracts produced an additive interaction in all assays. Single basil leaf extract exhibited the highest activity for total phenolics, total flavonoids, and antioxidant activity. The best combinations were at a 1:3 ratio for total flavonoids, 1:3 ratio for DPPH and FRAP antioxidant activity, and 1:2 ratio for pancreatic lipase inhibition at 57.48 ± 0.24% .
