      Pembibitan Kelor (Moringa oleifera (L.)) Pada Variasi Posisi Setek dan Metode Pemberian Auksin

      Abstract
      Kelor (Moringa oleifera) merupakan tanaman tahunan dengan potensi pengembangan yang besar dan dapat diperbanyak secara generatif maupun vegetatif. Perbanyakan vegetatif melalui setek batang banyak dipraktikkan, namun tingkat keberhasilannya relatif rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi respons pertumbuhan setek kelor terhadap perbedaan orientasi setek dan metode pemberian auksin. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo pada Juni–Agustus 2025 menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) faktorial. Perlakuan terdiri dari dua taraf posisi setek (vertikal dan horizontal) dan tiga taraf metode aplikasi auksin (tanpa auksin, perendaman dalam larutan auksin 1500 ppm, dan pengolesan pasta auksin). Posisi peletakan setek secara horizontal menghasilkan persentase bertunas lebih tinggi dari posisi vertikal, tetapi peubah seperti bobot basah dan bobot kering daun posisi vertikal lebih berat daripada posisi horizontal. Hal tersebut dikarenakan panjang akar pada posisi vertikal lebih panjang dari posisi penanaman horizontal yang menjadi indikator keberhasilan setek atau setek dapat beradaptasi dengan baik. Sedangkan pada perlakuan metode aplikasi auksin, taraf tanpa auksin memiliki panjang akar yang lebih panjang daripada perendaman dan pengolesan auksin yang mengindikasikan setek berhasil beradaptasi atau setek tersebut hidup.
       
      Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a perennial plant with considerable development potential and can be propagated both generatively and vegetatively. Vegetative propagation using stem cuttings is widely practiced, yet survival rates are relatively low. This study evaluated growth responses of Moringa cuttings to different cutting orientations and auxin application methods. The experiment was conducted at the Leuwikopo Experimental Field from June to August 2025 using a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The treatments consisted of two cutting orientations (vertical and horizontal) and three auxin application methods (without auxin, soaking in 1500 ppm auxin solution, and application of auxin paste). The horizontal cutting position produced higher sprouting percentage than vertical position, however variables such as fresh leaf weight and dry leaf weight were greater in the vertical position than in the horizontal position. This was due to the longer root length in the vertical position compared to the horizontal planting position which served as an indicator of cutting establishment success or the ability of cuttings to adapt well. Meanwhile in auxin application treatment, without auxin level resulted in longer root length than soaking and auxin paste application treatments that indicating cuttings were able to adapt successfully or survive well.
