      Abstract
Perlakuan pemupukan daun sebagai petak utama terdiri atas tiga taraf konsentrasi, yakni P0 (tanpa pemupukan daun), P1 (pemupukan daun konsentrasi 2 ml/l), P2 (pemupukan daun konsentrasi 4 ml/l).

Declining maize productivity in Indonesia is closely linked to micronutrient deficiencies that impact seed yield and quality. This study evaluated the effects of seed coating and foliar fertilization using silicon (Si), selenium (Se), and zinc (Zn) on growth, seed yield, and physiological seed quality of maize (Zea mays L.). The experiment was conducted at the Leuwikopo Experimental Field and the Seed Storage and Testing Laboratory of IPB University using a split-plot randomized complete block design. Foliar fertilization treatment, as the main plot, consisted of three concentration levels: P0 (without foliar fertilization), P1 (foliar fertilization at 2 ml/liter), and P2 (foliar fertilization at 4 ml/liter). The seed coating treatment was used as a subplot, consisting of two levels, S0 (without seed coating) and S1 (seed coating application), with four replications. The results of the study showed that seed coating treatment as a single factor increased vegetative growth parameters, such as plant height and leaf number, during specific observation weeks. In contrast, foliar fertilization treatment did not show significant effects on these parameters. The application of seed coating and foliar fertilization with micronutrients (Si, Se, and Zn) in this study did not significantly affect yield parameters or the physiological quality of maize seeds. A significant interaction response was detected at 1000 seed weights, indicating that micronutrient-coated seeds required foliar fertilization at a lower concentration (P1) than non-coated seeds.
