dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini dilaksanakan di perairan Teluk Palabuhanratu yang memiliki potensi sumber daya krustasea tinggi, khususnya rajungan dan lobster, dengan tujuan membandingkan efektivitas krendet bertingkat satu pintu dan krendet tradisional dalam meningkatkan hasil tangkapan. Metode yang digunakan adalah experimental fishing sebanyak 29 trip dengan sistem rawai, masing-masing menggunakan tiga unit krendet tradisional berdiameter 80 cm dan tiga unit krendet bertingkat satu pintu dengan diameter perangkap bawah 80 cm dan atas 60 cm, seluruhnya dilengkapi booster umpan berbahan ikan tembang, cumi-cumi, cacing tanah, dan telur ayam yang dibekukan. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi jumlah, berat, dan panjang karapas hasil tangkapan. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif kemudian diuji menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa krendet bertingkat satu pintu menghasilkan jumlah dan berat tangkapan krustasea lebih tinggi dibandingkan krendet tradisional. Produktivitasnya lebih besar dalam satuan ekor/trip, kg/trip, maupun kg/unit serta margin produksi yang meningkat signifikan sebesar 278,9% dalam ekor dan 354,6% dalam kg. Peningkatan ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh perluasan catchable area dan desain satu pintu yang mengurangi peluang lolosnya tangkapan, sehingga krendet bertingkat satu pintu berpotensi menjadi alternatif teknologi penangkapan yang lebih efektif dan mendukung pemanfaatan sumber daya krustasea secara berkelanjutan.
dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted in the waters of Palabuhanratu bay, which have high potential for crustacean resources, particularly swimming crabs and lobsters, with the objective of comparing the effectiveness of a single-door of the 2-deck cone hoop net and a traditional hoop net in improving catch performance. The research employed an experimental fishing method over 29 trips using a longline system, involving three units of traditional hoop net (80 cm diameter) and three units of single-door of the 2-deck cone hoop net (80 cm lower trap diameter and 60 cm upper trap diameter), all equipped with frozen bait boosters made from indian mackerel, squid, earthworms, and chicken eggs. Data collected included the number, weight, and carapace length of the catch, which were analyzed descriptively and tested using normality and Mann–Whitney tests at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the single-door of the 2-deck cone hoop net produced higher numbers and weights of crustacean catches compared to the traditional hoop net, with greater productivity in terms of individuals per trip, kilograms per trip, and kilograms per unit, as well as a significantly higher production margin increased significantly by 278,9% in individual and 354,6% in kg. This improvement is likely attributed to the expanded catchable area and the single-door design, which reduces the escape probability of the catch, indicating that the single-door of the 2-deck cone hoop net tiered krendet trap has strong potential as a more effective fishing technology to support sustainable crustacean resource utilization.
