      Dinamika Spasial Temporal Struktur Komunitas Ikan Terumbu dan Tutupan Karang Keras Hidup di Kawasan Konservasi Pulau Pieh, Sumatera Barat 2021 – 2024

      Abstract
      Ikan terumbu dan terumbu karang memainkan peran penting dan saling terkait dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem dan mendukung keanekaragaman hayati laut. Upaya pemerintah dalam menjaga dan melestarikan terumbu karang dan ikan terumbu adalah dengan penetapan kawasan konservasi. Pulau Pieh dan laut sekitarnya merupakan satu dari 11 kawasan konservasi nasional yang dikelola oleh Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kawasan Konservasi Pulau Pieh, Provinsi Sumatera Barat dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika spasial temporal struktur komunitas ikan terumbu dan tutupan karang keras, dengan menghitung kelimpahan ikan terumbu dan persentase tutupan karang keras berdasarkan lifeform. Penelitian dilakukan di 16 stasiun pengamatan menggunakan metode Underwater Visual Census (UVC) untuk ikan terumbu dan Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) untuk terumbu karang. Pengambilan data struktur komunitas ikan terumbu dan persentase tutupan karang keras dikombinasikan dengan Correspondence Analysis (CA) untuk mengelompokkan kedua variable tersebut. Hasil pengamatan ikan terumbu ditemukan 8 Famili ikan yang terdiri dari 25 genus dan 90 spesies dengan indeks keanekaragaman pada kategori sedang (1 = H’ = 3), keseragaman komunitas pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi (E = 0,57), dan indeks dominansi pada kategori rendah (C < 0,5), yang mengindikasikan kondisi ekosistem yang sehat. Hasil Correspondence Analysis (CA) menunjukan adanya keterkaitan antara tutupan karang dan kelimpahan ikan di 13 stasiun pengamatan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar ilmiah dalam pengelolaan kawasan konservasi secara efektif dan berkelanjutan.
       
      Reef fish and coral reefs have vital and interrelated roles in maintaining ecosystem balance and supporting marine biodiversity. The government’s efforts to protect and conserve coral reefs and reef fish are carried out through the establishment of marine conservation areas. Pulau Pieh and its surrounding waters are one of eleven national marine conservation areas managed by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. This study was conducted in the Pulau Pieh Marine Conservation Area, West Sumatra Province, with the objective of analyzing spatial-temporal dynamics of reef fish communities structure and hard coral cover. The abundance of reef fish and the percentage of coral cover were assessed at 16 observation stations using the Underwater Visual Census (UVC) method for reef fish and the Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method for coral reefs. Data on reef fish abundance and coral cover percentage were analyzed using Correspondence Analysis (CA) to group and identify the relationship between the two variables. The results recorded 8 fish families, consisting of 25 genera and 90 species, with diversity indices in the medium category (1 = H’ = 3), community evenness in the medium to high category (E = 0.57), and dominance index in the low category (C < 0.5) signifying a healthy ecosystem condition. The Correspondence Analysis (CA) results showed a clear association between coral cover and fish abundance at 13 observation stations. The findings of this study can serve as a scientific basis for the effective and sustainable management of marine conservation areas.
