      Abstract

One of Indonesia's leading forest resources is teak (Tectona grandis) due to its high quality wood. A common obstacle to providing high-quality teak in the field is leaf blight disease during the seedling phase. This study aims to determine the causes of incident and intensity of leaf blight disease attacks on teak at the Perhutani Research and Development Nursery. Data collection was conducted using random scoring across 3 observation blocks with an intensity of 10%, sampling of symptomatic leaves for isolation, Koch's postulate testing, and pathogen identification. The results showed that leaf blight incidence reached 90% and disease severity reached 57%. Five fungal species were identified: Rhizoctonia sp., Pestalotiopsis sp., Colletotrichum sp., Botrytis sp., and Corynespora sp., with an incubation period of 3–5 days after inoculum application.
