      Pengaruh Irigasi dan Pemupukan terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Talas Pratama (Colocasia Esculenta)

      Abstract
      Talas (Colocasia esculenta) merupakan tanaman umbi-umbian yang banyak ditanam di Indonesia dan berpotensi dikembangkan di Indonesia karena kesesuaian agroekologi yang tinggi. Produktivitas tanaman talas dapat ditingkatkan dengan sistem budidaya yang baik salah satunya adalah penggunaan air dan pemupukan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura Fakultas Pertanian IPB. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kondisi air dan pemupukan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil talas Pratama. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok tersarang (nested) dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu kondisi air (kering dan genangan). Faktor kedua yaitu paket pemupukan P1 (50 kg N + 30 kg P2O5 ha-1) dan P2 (100 kg N + 60 kg P2O5 ha-1). Terdapat interaksi antara kondisi air dan pemupukan terhadap diameter batang, jumlah anakan dan bobot basah brangkasan. Perlakuan air kering (tidak menggenang) meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil talas pratama secara signifikan. Paket pemupukan tidak berpengaruh nyata pada sebagian besar parameter seperti tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan seluruh komponen hasil talas. Kombinasi air dan paket pupuk terbaik adalah air kering tidak menggenang dan pupuk 50 kg N + 30 kg P2O5 ha-1 dengan produktivitas tertinggi sebesar 16,93 ton ha-1.
       
      Taro (Colocasia esculenta) is a tuberous plant that widely grown in Indonesia. Taro productivity can be increased with a good cultivation system, especially management of water and fertilizers. The study was conducted at the Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University. This study aimed to determine the effect of water conditions and fertilization on the growth and yield of Pratama taro. The study used a nested randomized block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was water conditions (dry and constant flooding). The second factor was fertilizer package P1 (50 kg N + 30 kg P2O5 ha-1) and P2 (100 kg N + 60 kg P2O5 ha-1). There was an interaction between water conditions and fertilization on stem diameter, number of tillers, and fresh weight of the biomass. Dry water treatment significantly increased taro growth and yield. Fertilizer packages had no significant effect on parameters of plant height, number of leaves, and all components of taro products. The best water and fertilizer combination was dry water and 50 kg N + 30 kg P2O5 ha-1, with the highest productivity of 16.93 tons ha-1.
