      Pemberdayaan Petani Jagung Melalui Implementasi Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) dalam Program Bertani untuk Negeri di Desa Balongga, Sulawesi Tengah

      Abstract
      Program Bertani untuk Negeri (BUN) merupakan program pemberdayaan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan petani, penerapan Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), dan produktivitas pertanian, khususnya tanaman jagung. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pelaksanaan kegiatan pemberdayaan, menganalisis perubahan tingkat pengetahuan dan penerapan GAP, serta melihat perubahan produktivitas sebelum dan sesudah program. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Balongga, Kabupaten Sigi, Sulawesi Tengah, dengan menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, pre-test dan post-test, daftar checklist, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam tiga aspek utama; tingkat pengetahuan petani meningkat dari 68,59% menjadi 96,41%, tingkat implementasi GAP dari 59,62% menjadi 93,37%, dan produktivitas jagung dari 2,1 ton/ha menjadi 5,1 ton/ha setelah program berjalan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sekolah lapang, kebun demplot, dan monitoring rutin dalam program BUN mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan GAP oleh petani, yang berdampak pada peningkatan produktivitas jagung.
       
      The "Bertani untuk Negeri" (BUN) Program is an empowerment initiative aimed at enhancing farmers’ knowledge, the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and agricultural productivity, particularly in maize cultivation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the empowerment activities, analyze changes in farmers’ knowledge and GAP application, and assess productivity differences before and after the program. The research was conducted in Balongga Village, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, using a mixed-method approach that included observation, interviews, questionnaires, pre-tests and post-tests, checklists, and documentation. The findings reveal significant improvements in three key areas; farmers’ knowledge increased from 68,59% to 96,41%, GAP implementation rose from 59,62% to 93,37%, and maize productivity improved from 2,1 tons/ha to 5,1 tons/ha after the program implementation. These results suggest that farmers field school, demonstration plots, and routine monitoring within the BUN program effectively enhanced farmers’ understanding and application of GAP, leading to increased maize productivity.
