      Abstract

Land use changes in the Upper Ciliwung Watershed have disrupted the watershed’s hydrological functions. This study aims to analyze the patterns and impacts of land use changes on sedimentation rates at the Katulampa Weir. The research method employed the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) hydrological modeling. The data analyzed included land cover and climate data from 2017 and 2024, soil type, and slope gradient. The results show that in the Upper Ciliwung Watershed there was an increase in built-up land area by 1040,7 ha and a significant decrease in plantation and shrubland areas during the 2017– 2024 period. The impact of these land use changes resulted in an increase in the total sedimentation rate by 18,6 million tons/year. Global input data on daily and monthly rainfall (NASA POWER) and global soil type (DSMW) produced unsatisfactory Nash–Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE) values of -0,05 (daily) and 0,32 (monthly).
