      Abstract
      Teluk Biru di Selat Bali merupakan habitat penting bagi ikan pelagis kecil, termasuk Spratelloides delicatulus, dengan produktivitas primer yang dicirikan oleh konsentrasi klorofil-a sebagai indikator kelimpahan fitoplankton. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara konsentrasi klorofil-a dengan ekologi trofik yuwana ikan tamban di Teluk Biru, Selat Bali. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan selama 6 bulan (September dan Desember 2023; Februari, Maret, April, dan November 2024) menggunakan alat tangkap bagan apung. Ikan dibedah lalu diambil lambung dan ususnya untuk diidentifikasi isi makanannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yuwana Spratelloides delicatulus lebih bergantung pada kelimpahan zooplankton daripada klorofil-a, dengan strategi makan yang adaptif terhadap dinamika lingkungan dan musim. Pemantauan lingkungan dan pengelolaan komunitas zooplankton diperlukan untuk menjaga keberlanjutan ekologi trofik yuwana Spratelloides delicatulus di Teluk Biru.
       
      Biru Bay in the Bali Strait serves as a important habitat for small pelagic fish, including Spratelloides delicatulus. The region’s primary productivity is influenced by chlorophyll-a concentration, a key indicator of phytoplankton abundance. This study investigates the relationship between chlorophyll-a levels and the trophic ecology of juvenile Spratelloides delicatulus in Biru Bay, Bali Strait. Sampling was conducted over six months (September and December 2023; February, March, April, and November 2024) using a floating lift net. Collected fish specimens were dissected, and their stomach and intestinal contents were analyzed to assess dietary composition. Results revealed that juvenile Spratelloides delicatulus rely more heavily on zooplankton availability than on chlorophyll-a concentrations. They exhibit adaptive feeding strategies in response to environmental fluctuations and seasonal variability. These findings highlight the importance of environmental and zooplankton community monitoring to ensure the sustainability of the trophic ecosystem supporting juvenile Spratelloides delicatulus in Biru Bay.
