| dc.description.abstract | Produksi susu sapi yang rendah tidak memenuhi standar merupakan
permasalahan yang sering terjadi, oleh karena itu perlu ada perbaikan terhadap mutu
genetik sapi perah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya
hubungan antara volume ambing dan ukuran puting terhadap performa produksi
susu pada sapi perah di Kawasan Usaha Peternakan (KUNAK) Sapi Perah yang
berada di Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat. Bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini
adalah sapi perah yang sedang masa laktasi sejumlah 122 ekor. Variabel yang
diamati adalah volume ambing, kedalaman ambing, panjang puting, lingkar puting
dan produksi susu. Analisis data menggunakan koefisien korelasi, regresi linier
sederhana dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya
hubungan signifikan (P = 0,05) antara volume ambing dengan produksi susu
sedangkan untuk kedalaman ambing, panjang puting dan lingkar puting tidak
signifikan dengan produksi susu. Disimpulkan bahwa penelitian tentang korelasi
penilaian sistem ambing terhadap produksi susu di kawasan usaha peternakan
(KUNAK) sapi perah Kabupaten Bogor menunjukkan volume ambing memiliki
hubungan yang signifikan dengan produksi susu, sedangkan kedalaman ambing,
panjang puting, dan lingkar puting menunjukkan hubungan tidak signifikan.
Variabel yang paling relevan untuk memprediksi tingkat produksi susu pada sapi
perah adalah volume ambing.

Low milk production that does not meet the standard is a problem that often
occurs. Therefore, there is a need to improve the genetic quality of dairy cows in
Indonesia. This study aims to determine the relationship between udder volume and
nipple size to milk production performance in dairy cows in the Dairy Business
Area located in Bogor Regency, West Java. The materials used in this study were
122 lactating dairy cows. The variables observed were udder volume, udder depth,
nipple length, nipple circumference and milk production. Data analysis used
correlation coefficient, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The
results showed that there was a significant relationship (P = 0.05) between udder
volume and milk production, while udder depth, nipple length and nipple
circumference were not significant with milk production. It was concluded that the
study on the correlation of udder system assessment to milk production in the dairy
farming business area (KUNAK) of Bogor Regency showed that udder volume had
a significant relationship with milk production. In contrast, udder depth, nipple
length, and nipple circumference showed an insignificant relationship.
