      Abstract

Life Expectancy is a key indicator to assess the success of government programs in health field. Defined as how long a human being is going to live since the birthday until death. There is variation in numbers of life expectancy in each region mostly in big cities indicated the spatial heterogeneity. Therefore, this study aims to identify the most significant variables affecting the life expectancy in West Java and to help every element of the society to increase life expectancy in the area. Independent variables will be used in this analysis including percentage of stunting, percentage of poor population, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDRP), and average year of schooling. The result of the analysis show that GWPR or geographically weighted panel regression model with fixed kernel gaussian as weighting function is the best method to estimate the life expectancy in West Java with adjusted R-square value of 97% explaining the variance of dependent variable. The most influential explanatory variable toward the dependent variable is average year of schooling being significant in 10 areas.
