      Efektivitas Penggunaan Perangkap Jaring dan Feromon Sebagai Perangkap Kumbang Tanduk (Oryctes rhinoceros) Di TBM Kebun Sukamulya PT. Buluh Cawang Plantation.

      Abstract
      Tanaman kelapa sawit di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan serius dari serangan hama kumbang tanduk (Oryctes rhinoceros), yang dapat menyebabkan penundaan dalam produksi hingga satu tahun serta penurunan produksi yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas berbagai jenis perangkap dalam mengendalikan kumbang tanduk pada tanaman kelapa sawit yang belum menghasilkan (TBM). Penelitian dilakukan di PT. Buluh Cawang Plantation, Sumatera Selatan, selama bulan September hingga Oktober 2023. Empat jenis perangkap dievaluasi: (1) jaring tunggal, (2) jaring + tebu, (3) jaring + feromon, dan (4) ferotrap. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap 3 hari sekali selama 4 minggu untuk menghitung jumlah kumbang tanduk yang terperangkap di setiap perangkap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkap dengan kombinasi jaring dan feromon (perlakuan jaring + feromon) menunjukkan hasil yang paling efektif dalam menangkap kumbang tanduk, dengan rata-rata tangkapan mencapai 16,5 kumbang per pengamatan. Perlakuan ini secara signifikan lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan perangkap lainnya seperti jaring tunggal, jaring + tebu, dan ferotrap. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan perangkap jaring dengan tambahan feromon merupakan metode yang sangat efektif dan ramah lingkungan untuk mengendalikan kumbang tanduk pada perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penggunaan teknologi ini tidak hanya efektif dalam mengurangi penggunaan insektisida tetapi juga lebih ekonomis dalam jangka panjang.
       
      Oil palm crops in Indonesia face serious challenges from horned beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros) infestation, which can cause delays in production of up to one year as well as significant production losses. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of various types of traps in controlling horned beetles in immature oil palm plants (TBM). The study was conducted at PT Buluh Cawang Plantation, South Sumatra, from September to October 2023. Four types of traps were evaluated: (1) single net, (2) net + sugarcane, (3) net + pheromone, and (4) ferotrap. Observations were made every 3 days for 4 weeks to count the number of horned beetles trapped in each trap. The results showed that traps with a combination of nets and pheromones (net + pheromone treatment) showed the most effective results in capturing horned beetles, with an average catch of 16.5 beetles per observation. This treatment was significantly more effective compared to other traps such as single net, net + sugarcane, and ferotrap. This study concluded that the use of net traps with added pheromones is a very effective and environmentally friendly method to control horned beetles in oil palm plantations. The use of this technology is not only effective in reducing the use of insecticides but also more economical in the long run.
