      Determinan Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja di Negara-Negara Emerging Asia

      Abstract
      Populasi yang besar dan pertumbuhannya yang kuat dan tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja yang tinggi merupakan salah satu isu ketenagakerjaan yang dihadapi oleh Emerging Asia. Ketersediaan tenaga kerja yang tinggi mengindikasikan kebutuhan lapangan kerja yang tinggi juga yang mampu menyerap besarnya angkatan kerja dan mengejar pertumbuhannya yang cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi penyerapan tenaga kerja di Emerging Asia dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan regresi data panel dengan cross section tujuh negara Emerging Asia dan time series tahun 2008-2022. Hasilnya menunjukkan tingkat penyerapan tenaga kerja di Emerging Asia berfluktuasi. Tingkat penyerapan tenaga kerja tertinggi berada di Vietnam dan terendah adalah India. Model yang digunakan adalah Fixed Effect Model (FEM) dengan hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan FDI, GDP, dan nilai tukar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Emerging Asia sedangkan keterbukaan perdagangan dan pendidikan berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan. Sementara itu, inflasi berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja.
       
      A large population and its strong growth and high labor force participation rate are among the employment issues faced by Emerging Asia. High labor availability indicates a high demand for jobs as well as those that are able to absorb the size of the workforce and pursue its rapid growth. This study aims to describe the condition of labor absorption in Emerging Asia and the factors that affect it. The analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive method and panel data regression with cross sections of seven Emerging Asia countries and time series from 2008 to 2022. The result shows that the labour absorption rate in Emerging Asia fluctuates. The highest labor absorption rate is in Vietnam and the lowest is India. The model used is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) with estimated results showing that the increase in FDI, GDP, and exchange rate has a positive and significant effect on labor absorption in Emerging Asia while trade openness and education has a negative and significant effect on labor absorption. Meanwhile, inflation had no significant effect on labor absorption.
